Annual Events
Back to School Bash
Helping our youth prepare for success, this event is held every year on the Saturday before school starts. We provide food, music, games, and even have some of our hope dealers to encourage our youth before they go back to school. Youth are given clothes and school supplies so they are prepared for the first week of school.
Mommy and Me Prom
Our youth spend an amazing night celebrating, empowering, appreciating, and loving their mothers! We were honored to celebrate our mother’s for the love and sacrifices they make daily. Our Mommy and Me Prom provides the care, compassion, hugs, flowers, applauds, love, and an everlasting impression that our mothers so graciously deserve. In addition, it teaches our young men the importance of respecting their mothers and honoring those who have stood beside them.
Santa’s Little Helpers Holiday Party
Bringing a little holiday joy to our youth! This event allows businesses and individuals to sign up to become one of Santa’s Little Helpers. They help spread some holiday cheer by purchasing Christmas presents for the youth in the program. We have been truly blessed by the support of the community during this event.
Easter Egg Hunt
A day of fun in the park for youth and their families! Hosted every year during Easter weekend at Carrollton Park, we provide food, games, music, and an Easter egg hunt for the children. This event is free to any who wish to attend and our hope is to spread love and kindness during the holiday season.
Basketball Tournament
This annual tournament is in June right after school ends and is offered to youth in grades 5-9. The tournament is mainly for our boys, but we plan to add a girls bracket in the near future. All youth are provided t-shirts, rings are provided to the youth who win in each division, and there are giveaways from local businesses. This fundraiser helps support the operation of I Believe in Me Inc.
5K Run/Walk
Bringing together the community and our youth as they participate in a 5K run/walk. The purpose of this event is to encourage health and wellness goals while also raising money to support our youth going back to school. Funds raised help provide our youth with school supplies, clothing/shoes, and hygiene supplies to get them started on the path to success.
