Educational Support
Everyday after school, our youth are greeted by mentors, volunteers, and tutors who are ready and able to support their academic needs. With consistent communication between teachers, parents, and mentors; our Education Coordinator is able to review Schoology and track student grades, providing tutors for individuals when support is needed or requested.

STEM Field Trips
Whether it is a tour of the National Zoo or a trip to the Frederick National Laboratory for Cancer Research, we believe it is essential to expose our youth to a variety of educational experiences that lead toward potential career paths.
Guest Speakers
From educational speaking engagements to motivational speakers, our team utilizes the stories of those within our community to help ignite the passion inside our youth. Giving them an opportunity to hear how others overcame personal struggles to achieve their life goals inspires our youth to believe in themselves and their dreams.

Restorative Practices
Mentors and youth utilize restorative practices for a variety of purposes:
Conflict resolution
Goal setting
Building a culture within the program
Reflection on behaviors and academics
We strive to give our youth a voice - to allow them to communicate their needs and right their wrongs. Restorative practices not only allow emotions to become addressed but it gives one the ability to develop empathy and reflect upon why they feel the way they do.
