RUN To Make an IMPACT
Think back to when you were young and the first day of school was a day to make a statement. NEW YEAR, NEW YOUTH, NEW OPPORTUNITIES! Now, imagine being the child that enters the educational setting with holes in their shoes, the same clothes worn from last year, and no school supplies- at no fault of their own. Studies show that students with low self esteem have increased levels of difficulty when it comes to learning. Often comparing themselves to others, not feeling adaquate, and/or adding jealousy to the mix can ultimately create behavioral issues in the classroom.
Your participation in this event will help us put the resources in place for those who struggle to acquire them- helping increase the equity within the educational setting. Your support will help students gain access to book bags, school supplies, hygiene products, and clothing/shoes to school aged youth.
In addition, you will continue to provide safe spaces and loving mentors into the lives of Frederick area youth; assisting their goals toward positive and productive futures.
